Producing energy at home and saving money is becoming easier and easier, despite initial investment costs. Researchers are working hard and we will soon have the first solar wallpaper.
To have dealt with it for years is the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, which has designed panels that are so thin that can be used as wallpaper, but with the main purpose to capture solar light to produce electricity.
These 0,2 mm thick paper strips can produce electricity with the application of small leaf‐shaped panels, which can capture solar light both inside and outside the home environment. The energy produced can be used to power small electronic devices, such as cell phones, LED lightbulbs and humidifiers.
This system to produce energy can bring benefits not only to you, but also to the environment. It actually allows a reduction of the environmental impact with its recycling. Furthermore, everyone is free to customize it with different decorations.
This is an excellent way to save money on your electric bill and decorate your home in one shot.
