2018 is going to be a very good year for all those willing to invest in eco‐sustainability and respect the environment. The Government has included Green Bonus 2018 in the finance bill, dedicated to all those who improve their gardens, terraces and balconies and plant trees and shrubs.
More specifically, Green Bonus 2018 consists in a tax deductions of 36% on documented costs, i.e. those already covered by VAT, up to a maximum of € 5,000 for each housing unit, also including design and maintenance works.
According to Italy’s Environment Minister Gian Luca Galletti, Ecobonus (a direct incentive to financially support production methods that reduce the environmental impact) will be renewed in 2018, with something new related to simple renovations, energy saving activities and Sismabonus.
The Ecobonus for energy saving activities is currently 65% and is valid until the end of the year, including the purchase and installation of solar shading and winter heating systems with biomass‐fuelled generators.
With these changes it was also necessary to create a €50 million fund a year from 2018 to 2020, including low‐income beneficiaries, who will have easier access to bank loans.
